With about 20 wines by the glass to choose from (including international bubbles & dessert wines), it’s hard to get bored with our menu!  We continuously changing our “by the glass list” weekly, in order to showcase all of our fantastic wines.

We have flights for those adventurous tasting days and wines by the glass for when you just know what you want. We also offer over 15 specialty bottled beers, house infused fruit sake, as well as our very special ‘non’-alcoholic white jasmine sparking tea, so there really is something for everyone.  In addition to our wonderful wine list we also offer a variety of small plates including a specialty cheese sampler plate and mouth watering desserts.

We have weekly special events,  private parties,  wine & cheese clubs,  special gift ideas & we can even make you a cheese platter to bring home for a special occasion.

A few answers to frequently asked questions:

How does this work?
We’re your neighborhood tasting bar – offering wines by the glass or wine flights along with a selection of small plates. We don’t have traditional table service, so if we aren’t quick enough to get your order, feel free to come to the bar and we’ll take care of you in a jiffy.

Don’t forget we’re also your local retail wine and cheese store, so take some home for later!

What’s a “flight” of wine?
“Flight” is a fancy word for series or group.  when you purchase a flight you will get to sample anywhere from 3-4 different wines (2 ounces per wine).

What about kids and babies?
Shopping with minors is no-problem, however we are technically a “bar” and are not allowed to have any minors in our tasting area which includes the front & rear patio areas (as well as Private Events)…sorry

What about private parties?
Boy, can we party! We love to host groups for personal or corporate events and we don’t charge bothersome “room rental fees”!  Ask us how to book your event today.

Valerie Evans, Owner

Certified Sommelier, Valerie Evans was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She comes from an entrepreneurial family that built their success in the Mortgage Industry. She was taught at a very young age that success comes to those that work for it. Taking that teaching to heart she has poured the last eighteen years into the Mortgage Industry, enabling her to earn her California State Brokers License and open a well known Mortgage Brokerage firm, Foothill Mortgage, Inc.

Her dedication to making her mortgage business a success meant that some of her hobbies and passions were to be placed on hold, one of those passions would be expanding her education of wine. Her passion in wine arose from the various social gatherings, throughout her life. Finally after years of wine collecting, numerous trips to wineries and wine regions she decided to learn what makes wine so special.

Valerie first started as an intern, working one night a week at The Grapevine. This internship eventually led to an Account Executive position with a local wine distributor. Although she learned a great deal about the wine industry, this still did not fulfill her need to learn more about wine.

In March of 2008, she completed the Professional Culinary Institutes Sommelier Course, but she did not stop there. With the knowledge and skills she received from Master Sommelier David Glancy she was able to participate in the Court of Masters Sommelier Certification exam. Hence going through a grueling process of wine fundamentals, blind tastings, wine and food pairing and service performance testing she passed and received the world recognized title of “Certified Sommelier.” 
Since passing her certification she has now turned her attention to sharing her passion and knowledge of wine with others. Taking a page out of her early years on what it takes to be successful she now focuses her time and energy in “The Grapevine.”

Her goal now is to share her love and knowledge of wine with her clients, hoping they too will find the enjoyment that has created so many cherished memories spent with friends and family.
